Storm's Heart by Thea Harrison

Description:

He's a Wyr warrior, a god of storms. She's the heir to the Dark Fae throne. But desire will bring both to their knees in this all-new Novel of the Elder Races.

During the rule of her murderous Dark Fae uncle, Thistle "Tricks" Periwinkle found sanctuary among the Wyr in New York. Her ethereal beauty and sparkling personality won the hearts of the public, but after her uncle's death, there are those who don't want to see her ascend to the throne.

Able to wield thunder and lightning, Wyr sentinel Tiago Black Eagle has ruled the skies for centuries. His massive build and thunderous power make him one of the Wyr's best weapons. And he's sent to protect Tricks when she's almost assassinated in Chicago.

Soon, both Tiago and Tricks will fall prey to the stormy hunger that engulfs them—a passion that will shake the very foundation of all the worlds.

Storm's Heart by Thea Harrison

5 out of 5

Tiago is really a great character.  Once he realized that he didn't know what the heck he was doing with Niniane, he asked for help (which was humorous!).  And once he knew that he wanted her, he did everything he could to get her (which was very sexy!).  Plus, his He-man act was kinda cute.

Niniane was one big ball of emotions.  If she wasn't feeling sad, sorry, or lonely, she was feeling happy, in love, and horny.  Sometimes all at the same time... Which got confusing.

Speaking of confusing - what is up with not being able to keep the same name between the book description and the actual book... Didn't like the confusion it caused....

Naidia - wow!  I didn't trust her when she was introduced.  But I really didn't like her in the end.

There was a lot of intrigue, mystery, and death in this book.  You don't know what characters to trust, who will live and who won't.  Kinda like a normal royal court.

Carling seems to be such a mystery.  Ancient to the point of being as old as many other supernatural beings, she was originally a human.  She holds so many secrets though.  And I think she is more than just a vampire/succubus, I think she might even have visions... Or just be able to really see things.

I liked getting to know Rune and Aryal better.  They definitely are becoming my favorite characters.

Overall, such a good book.  I'm definitely looking forward for the next book in this series.
Happy Reading!
