This is one
big story of change. Change from human
to vampire; change of parent to sire; change of relationships. All of which helps
lead up to the biggest mystery: What is
this book and what makes it so important?
I liked how
we got to meet some really old vampires (like some of the oldest ones
around). Plus, we get to travel to an
island off the coast of Asia.
I like how
we got to know Tenzin better. Her past
(which was both heart breaking and strengthening) and all the way to her
present with her mate was very enlightening.
It was awesome to understand her and what made her who she was/is.
We FINALLY
get to meet Stephan De Novo, the mysterious character that seems to be the
driving force of this novel. We want to
know what he knows, what he is protecting, and why he is hiding away from
Lorenzo. Plus, we get other surprises
from him as we go along.
Again,
there is definitely something about Beatrice and Giovanni. They love each other, but their arguments are
major and earth shaking (figuratively only).
Sometimes you wonder if they will survive as a couple with some of their
arguments.
Overall,
this is a great book. Heartbreaking, but
great. Highly recommend and I’m looking
forward to reading some more from this series.
