Review:
Black and Blue by Gena Showalter

5 out of 5
OMGoodness!  This is such a good book.  Like chocolate-covered goodness with whipped cream on top.  And it was just the perfect book to read!

I liked getting to know Blue better.  In the previous book he appeared to be (to quote Evie) a "man-whore".  But in reality he really wanted monogamy.

Evie was an irritating snob, until you really got to know her.  Once you did, she became a very enjoyable character.  She is smart, strong, and capable.  You ended up cheering her on and hoping for a happy out come.

It was great to learn about the Arkedians.  Learning more about what powers they have, what they are capable of, and especially learning what Blue can do was very enlightening.

Poor John No Last Name.  The torture that he endured was horrible.  But I want to know more about him, and I want to know what happens to him next.  How will he heal from the trauma he has experienced as both a child and as an adult.

What a great story, finding out that the Stars were behind it all, and the play of trying to infiltrate the Star's home for information about John.  Definitely felt like a supernatural spy thriller, which was great!

I loved getting to see Vika & Solo!  I fell in love with them in the first book, and loved seeing them still so in love.  And expecting!  I can't wait to see what happens next for them!

The cover of this book!  OMGoodness!  It is amazing!

Overall, this is a great novel.  I loved it thoroughly and I highly recommend this book.  I also am looking forward to reading the next book from Ms. Showalter!
Happy Reading!
