Review:
Kiss of a Demon King by Kresley Cole
5 out of 5
I
like that we start this book with the knowledge that sabine wants Rydstrom, and
that he is important to her. What we
don’t’ know is why… until this book.
Good
Night! Does Sabine have a lot of issues! She has been killed repeatedly, she doesn’t
trust people, and she is a poison addict.
It makes you wonder why she would even try for Rydstrom, as there si a
lot of giving up control to be with him.
I
do like that Sabine actually has an amazingly good heart. How she wants to better the deomons’ lives,
and how she saved Puck made her a really good person, whether she believes it
or not.
I
couldn’t believe that Rydstrom did such an asinine thing with the vow! And his consequences are very
appropriate!
I
think the progression between being the captor to captive, to lover, to spouse
was awesome. It wasn’t immediate, there
wasn’t automatic trust. It had to grow,
which is what happens in real life.
I
like Puck. He was an interesting little
side character that you wish would be given a family. And the fact that he likes Sabine when no one
else does makes him pretty cool.
I
am so glad that Nix was in this novel!
OMGoodness! I love so much, and
her scheming is SO MUCH FUN!
I
really like the hag, but I am very curious about the hag… Who is she, and who
is the man she accidently stood up 500 years ago? I have a feeling I might get to find
out. Plus, I like the hag because she
put the cure for Melinthia right by the Rhino testicles… For some reason, I
find that really funny!
Overall,
I loved this book. I think it was
completely the fun read that I needed.
Highly recommend!
Happy Reading!
