Reawakened by Ada Adams

Description:

Becoming a vampire guardian was Dawn Fairchild’s ticket out of the Scarlet House. Fresh off a successful mission, life in Angel Creek should have been great. But when her sort-of-maybe-boyfriend, Sebastian, disappears on a quest to help a beautiful vampire from his past, Dawn finds herself amidst a web of danger, lies, and deceit.

Joining forces with Razor, an enigmatic rebel lacking both a verbal and a physical filter, and her band of Misfits—Brooke, Sophie, Hunter, and Seth—Dawn is thrust into a race against the clock to solve the mystery surrounding brutal Born kidnappings and come to terms with the sudden discovery of her own unique powers. With time ticking away and Born vampires’ lives in jeopardy, it quickly becomes evident that someone—orsomething—desperately wants Dawn and is willing to shed any amount of blood to get her.

Dawn has only one chance to face her demons and overcome all obstacles standing in her way as she embarks on the biggest mission of her life—one that threatens a deadly outcome for all involved.

Reawakened by Ada Adams
5 out of 5

I was so excited about this book.  And let me tell you, it did not disappoint!

First off… The prologue automatically makes you wonder.  Multiple personalities?  Ghost?  Another secret that Dawn doesn’t know?

Characters

Dawn is a character that I can definitely relate to.  Her fears, some of her challenges, her need to protect everyone and to be what everyone needs are all things that I understand… Though nowhere near what she has experienced.  But I felt sorry for her as she struggled to discover more of her past.

Sebastian is still my favorite male of all times!  I loved how he was constantly trying to protect Dawn, even from herself.  And his sacrifice… I can’t say anything else without giving it away, but WOW!

Razor is the complete opposite from Sebastian, and I love that!  You can’t always have only good guys… Sometimes you need a bad boy to show you what you really want.  He definitely added spice to the book.

The Rest of the Book:

I love how the mystery about Dawn’s past connects her to several of the main characters.  Always nice to see how small a literary world can be.

So, for me, 3 things remain:  2 questions and a plea.

1)   Plea first!  PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don’t let that character die!  I’m groveling in hopes that the next book will save this character.
2)   What other secrets are hiding?  I mean, I feel that we have only just scratched the surface and I really need to know more.
3)   What makes Dawn so different?  Is it her forta?  Or is it because she is a clone?  Or is there something else we don’t know (see question 2).

Damn it!  I shouldn’t be crying at the end of a book that is in my top 10 favorites!!!!  And not just the silent tears, no!  These are the snot-drinking, eye-swelling, “Eww, girl, you look gross”, heart-wrenching sobs!  But I still loved this book!

So, did I love this book?  YES!  Do I want you to read it? YES, YES, YES!  Highly recommend this book, and I’m desperately waiting with an adoring looking for Sebastian! :P

Happy Reading!
