Why?

1. Apocalyptic hallucinations that are actually visions of the future, bayou, and an ancient prophecy... Sounds like an amazing book, doesn't it?
2. I've read a few of Ms. Cole's books, and loved them.  Hoping this one will be just as good. 
3. Beautiful cover... looks like they are in a ring of fire.  The monochromatic in sepia just makes it look like some older book that would be a warning to us all.
